Ingredients
1
Yam, medium to large
1 Tbsp
Olive Oil
1 tsp
Paprika
1/2 tsp
Cayenne Powder, optional
1 tsp
Garlic Powder
1 tsp
Onion Powder
To taste
Salt and Pepper
|

  Directions
- Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scrub the yam well. Leaving the skin on, cut the yam into fry-sized pieces, about 2
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the yam pieces in the olive oil to coat. How much oil you use here depends on how much yam you have. The yam pieces should be wet enough that the seasoning will stick to them and they won't burn in the oven.
- Sprinkle all the other ingredients and toss well again.
- Spread the yam fries on an even layer on the baking sheet. You can do several batches of these if you have extra.

Baking Instructions
Bake for 15 minutes at 425F. Flip all of the fries with a spatula and then bake for another 15 minutes. If you like your yam fries extra crunchy, put them in for 20 minutes each time but keep an eye on them towards the end to make sure they don't burn.
I would recommend trying these as is the first time to get the hang of it. You will see that they're very easy and versatile so get creative and add whatever seasonings you want to these yam fries! You can also use this recipe to make sweet potato fries to try something new.
