| Healthy Juicy Turkey Burgers Recipe

  Ingredients
| 2 - 3 lbs |
| Lean Ground Turkey |
|
| Bell Peppers, half of a red and half a yellow or orange pepper |
| 1 |
| Tomato, chopped |
| Head |
| Garlic, smashed and minced |
| 1 medium |
| Onion, shredded |
| 1 |
| Ginger, peeled and minced |
| 1 tsp |
| Dry Mustard |
| 1/2 tsp |
| White Truffle Paste |
| 1 tsp |
| Basil, dried |
| to taste |
| Black Pepper |
| 9 slices |
| Cheese, optional |
|
| Olive Oil, enough to oil the pan several times |

  Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients together gently with your hands in a large mixing bowl until just mixed. Always make sure to follow correct food safety protocols when touching raw poultry or meat.
- Form mixture into 9 balls and then form each ball into a patty about an inch and a quarter in thickness. Using your thumb, form an indent in the center of the patty.
- Oil a frying pan and heat over medium-high heat.
- Turn the pan several times to make sure oil is evenly distributed. When the pan has heated through, throw 2-3 patties on the frying pan (leaving some room between them so that you can easily flip them).
- Cook patties for 6 minutes and then flip. Cook the other side of the patties for another 6 minutes.
- While the last side is cooking, you can brush the cooked side with a sauce of your choice (I usually use the honey mustard sauce in the dips section and it goes really well with turkey). Top the patties with cheese if you're using it. A sharp cheddar goes nicely with these burgers!
- When the turkey burgers have finished cooking, remove them promptly from the frying pan with a different spatula.
- Oil the pan again after each set of turkey burgers have finished cooking, if necessary (I use a stainless steel frying pan so I drizzle a bit more each time). Repeat with the rest of the patties.
- Serve with a toasted whole grain (Whole Wheat, Spelt, Kamut, etc.) bun and top with avocado, tomato, pickles, and lettuce.
- Makes 9 turkey burger patties.
