Whole Wheat Apple Crisp Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 ½ cups |
| Cooking Apples (about 6 large or 7 medium), |

peeled and sliced |
| 2 Tbsp |

Honey |
| 1-2 tsp |
| Cinnamon |
| ½ tsp |
| Nutmeg |
| ½ tsp |
| Cloves |
| 1 Tbsp |
|
Lemon Juice |
| 1/4 cup |
|
Water |

| |
| 1 ½ cup |
|
Oats, any kind |
| 1/3 cup |
|
Whole Wheat Flour |
| 1/4 cup |
|
Honey |
| ½ cup |
|
Brown Sugar |
| 1/3 cups |
|
Melted Butter |
| ½ tsp |
|
Salt |
| ½ cup |
|
Chopped walnuts or pecans, optional |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Mix apples, honey, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and lemon juice together.
- Add to greased baking dish. Pour water over top.
- Mix together oats, flour, salt, and brown sugar. Add honey (you may want to microwave the honey for 10 seconds so it mixes in more evenly) and melted butter.
- Mix in pecans or walnuts, if using.
- Pour mixture over the apples.
Baking Instructions
Bake at 375 F for 30-40 minutes. Use small (9-inch) greased baking dish.
